Missionaries in Motion!

Our bags are packed and we’re ready to go!  Caroline and I are blessed to be able to attend InFaith’s Refocus conference Wednesday through Saturday in San Antonio, TX.  Many thanks to Linda Traxler of Aims Community Church for volunteering to drive us to the Portland Airport very early tomorrow morning to catch a 5:20 AM flight.  And thanks also to Merle and Peggy Davis for their generous gift to help us with some expenses along the way.  At Refocus I hope to be able to meet with some of the Home Office staff to pray and seek clarity on future ideas for helping equip church leaders for more fruitful ministry, as well as tossing around a few ideas for recruiting missionary-pastors.  Thanks for your prayers as we travel!  We will be back in Oregon Sunday night and hope to have a memo out to all of you Monday, Lord willing.

In the meantime, I thank God for Pastor Steven Boyle of Columbia Community Bible Church, who is helping make sure tomorrow’s Sandy Fellowship Breakfast runs smoothly in my absence.  If you haven’t let Steven know you will be there, at 9 am at Tollgate Inn in Sandy, then please call Steven at 503-292-1081.  The no-host breakfast is open to ministry leaders of all types from InFaith-associated ministries in Northwest Oregon.  Come be encouraged as you share with your brothers and sisters what the Lord is doing in your churches and communities!

Next week, the NWxNW fellowship is trying something new.  Our gathering of ministry leaders from the remotest corner of our field is switching to Wednesday, April 26th at 4 PM at Columbia Bible Church (Rainier).  We will see if the schedule change makes things easier for some of the bi-vocational shepherds in the area at attend.

May God bless all of you for your faithful service in the name of Jesus!
