Dear Friend of InFaith: Northwest Oregon,
I have just a few short reminders of upcoming ministry activities this week. It is such a blessing to know that so many of you are jumping right in to make sure the name of Jesus is shared throughout this area. I am particularly thankful for the board members of the Sunday School Fellowship, who work behind the scenes all year to support and encourage a number of ministry efforts. These faithful servants are: Pastor Seth Lewis (Carver Church); Elder Scott Brownlow (Shiloh Basin Community Church); retired InFaith field director Jim VanVoorst (Hudson Park Bible Church); John Abraham (Mtn Home Church); Pastor Robert and Bonny Klukas (Columbia Bible Church). See the last bullet point in this memo to learn how you can get involved with them in this vital ministry.
Tuesday, March 18, NWxNW fellowship - Join with the leaders of the six InFaith-affiliated churches in the far northwest corner of our ministry area. Share what the Lord is doing in your community and join in prayer with us, as we rejoice together in glorifying the name of Jesus! The gathering starts at 3 PM at Hudson Park Bible Church, 75212 Larson Road, Rainier, OR.
Wednesday, March 19, InFaith Sandy Fellowship Breakfast – The table will be set for you at our monthly no-host get-together for ministry leaders in the eastern area of the field this Wednesday morning. Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast at the Tollgate Inn, 38100 Highway 26, Sandy, OR starting at 9 AM.
Saturday, March 22, Sunday School Fellowship Annual Meeting, 10 AM at the Carver Church, 16388 SE Highway 224, Damascus, OR. Each InFaith-affiliated congregation in the Northwest Oregon field/area is invited to send two voting delegates to help select board members for the coming year. The meeting (which usually lasts less than 2 hours) will include a time of worship together, reports from your area missionary and the Sunday School Fellowship board and perhaps a couple other ministry partners covering a wide variety of ministry endeavors: the blessings of the annual Advance conference for pastors, missionaries and their spouses, the progress of SSF’s ministry loan program and more! Please plan to join us!
I will be Zooming in for my report at the SSF meeting, as I will be travelling on the east coast at the time, ahead of InFaith’s annual Refresh conference, March 24-27 in Georgia. Immediately after returning home, Caroline and I are looking forward to sharing with the Dayville and Monument, OR churches in Central Oregon on Sunday, March 30th. Central Oregon volunteer area missionary Dan Morse is working with those two fellowships and about eight others in the area and has invited me along as he talks with these two churches about the possibility of calling an InFaith missionary-pastor. It will be great to visit with our friends on the east side of the Cascades once again.
Thank you for your prayers for Caroline and me as we continue to do the Lord’s work wherever He leads us. May His blessings also fall on you as you serve him each day!
