Praising God in Stillness and in Storm

I am praising God this morning to be coming to the end of Covid-19 symptoms.  I will still be wearing a mask in public for a while longer, just in case there is a stray germ still in me.  But the antivirals my doctor prescribed seem to be doing the trick.  I thank the Lord for my family’s kind care for me, and for those of you who expressed understanding when a week’s worth of activities were suddenly rescheduled.  Now that I am back in the saddle, here are a few things we need to share this week:

Thank you for your prayers for Pastor Mark Helmberger.
We praise God that Pastor Mark Helmberger was able to attend Resurrection Sunday services at Woodland Park Chapel, following surgery last week to reduce pain from tumors placing pressure on his spine. Many of you have been praying for Mark and his wife Lisa in his ongoing battle with cancer.  After the surgery, and some difficult conversations with doctors, Mark is now home, considering what the Lord would have him do and how he should serve in the time he has remaining.
