InFaith Ministry Gets a Boost in Central Oregon
This past weekend (May 20-21) I was honored to be part of the celebration as NW Field Director Nathan Bath signed up a new volunteer to help with InFaith’s ministry in Central Oregon. Pastor Dan Morse and his wife Judy have been informally reviewing the ministry needs in their area for a couple years. Sunday, at their home in Prineville, Dan signed an InFaith volunteer agreement after we met and prayed for the Lord to reinvigorate His work and His people in the mostly rural communities of that area.
Brian Simmons, Mountain Home Church
Pray for Brian Simmons
Please continue in prayer for Brian Simmons of Mountain Home Church (Colton). Brian is scheduled for surgery June 8 to remove cancerous growths on his neck. He expects to remain in hospital at least overnight. In recent weeks, Brian has been praising God that the growths shrank substantially after immunotherapy and fervent prayer. Through it all, Brian has continued to preach the Word at Mountain Home…but I will be filling in for him Sunday, June 11 as he recovers.
Portland Pastors Prayer – June 8
While we are thinking about prayer… you are all invited to join in the Portland Pastors Prayer gathering, Thursday, June 8, 10 AM at Woodland Park Chapel, as we share the needs and praises of the InFaith family in our area.
NWxNW, June 15 at Farmhouse Coffee
Mea Culpa! I forgot to ask where the NWxNW ministry leaders fellowship wants to meet in June. So, I am springing for the coffee, Wednesday, June 14 at 4 PM at Farmhouse Coffee in Clatskanie. Please let me know if you plan to attend, thiscox@infaith.org. I would have opted for the following week, but the folks at Hudson Park are going to be knee-deep in kids at VBS!
Sandy Fellowship Breakfast, June 21 at Tollgate
Between early summer vacations, vacation Bible schools and summer camps, many of you will be busy in June, but I hope you can set aside an hour or so for breakfast and fellowship with fellow shepherds, Wednesday, June 21, 9 AM at Tollgate Inn, Sandy.
And remember, the TCOTM men’s retreat at Camp Morrow is coming up fast…June 2-4. If you would like to attend, please check in with the church at churchotmountain@gmail.com to make sure there is still room in the bunkhouses for you!
