NWxNW Meets Tomorrow!
NWxNW ministry leaders’ fellowship meets Tuesday morning (March 21) from 9-11 at Deer Island Community Church.  This monthly gathering of leaders from Holbrook, Deer Island, Columbia (Rainier), Hudson Park, Shiloh-Basin and Mayger-Downing churches is a great time of prayer, fellowship and discussion among many of the Lord’s servants from the far northwest portion of InFaith’s Northwest Oregon field.

Pray for Brian Simmons and Steven Boyle
Your intercession with the Father is needed for both pastor Steven Boyle of Columbia Community Bible Church and for Brian Simmons, newly-called shepherd of Mountain Home Church.  Brian (in the picture) had his first immunotherapy cancer treatment last week, and Steven is scheduled for a procedure to break up a large and painful kidney stone on Wednesday, March 22.  Both men were in the pulpit, sharing the Word of God this Sunday, and continue to serve the Lord and their congregations through their current ordeal, while trusting the Lord for their healing.  Praise God!

Carver Church Renovations Continue
Interior renovations to Carver Church are continuing, with substantial changes underway for the sanctuary.  Pastor Seth Lewis says planning is underway to build a stage under the new cross, with a baptismal tank beneath.  A new sound booth is being set up in the back of the room.  The congregation hopes to “button it up” in the next two weeks, repainting and recarpeting the room.  In the meantime, work continues toward a new sewer connection for the church building funded by Sunday School Fellowship.

George Community Church Prepares for New Elders
It was nice to meet with three elder candidates this week at George Community Church (Estacada).  Much thanks to elder Tim Simons from The Church on the Mountain for participating in the elder interview process.  The loving congregation at George hopes to install new elders in the next several months, Lord willing.  George was my church home back in the 90’s, and it was great to see a few familiar faces still in service to Jesus there!
