Words of Thanksgiving

“I will lift mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” – Psalm 121:1-2

WORDS OF THANKSGIVING
This Thanksgiving week, I am grateful to the Lord for placing me where I can see the mountains and the hills, where I can remember His majesty as I see it reflected in the beauty of His creation, where I can be reminded that, no matter how gritty and broken the world around me may seem, above it all is a God who sees, who hears, who cares and who is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Pre-registration is underway for Advance 2024, a weekend of encouragement for pastors, church leaders, missionaries and their spouses, held at the Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center in Rockaway Beach Oregon.  I thank you who have already signed up for cabins or lodge rooms, and thanks especially to those who have confirmed by mailing in their registration fees.  This year we have a First Timers’ Blessing discount of $100 per person for some who have never attended Advance in the past.  Click on the brochure image on this page for more details, or click here to pre-register online.  (If you already have a brochure, you may still want to look at the revised version.  I have corrected a couple of typos that were in the brochure I provided last week.)

 WORDS OF APPRECIATION
I thank the Lord for all of you, our partners in ministry.  Since Caroline and I began serving with InFaith in 2017, we have seen and felt your love and support in many ways, tangible and intangible.  We know that comes from the Lord working in your hearts.  Thank you for joining us in reaching our communities with the love of Jesus.  Please know your service to Him is producing a bountiful harvest, in which we will joyfully share when we are joined together at His throne in the age to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!
