ROUNDUP ROCKS THE FORUM AND MOVES MEN TO FOLLOW JESUS!

The Forum at Camp Tadmor rocked with worship at Men’s Roundup 2022.

About a thousand men gathered last weekend at Camp Tadmor (near Lebanon, OR) for Church Venture Northwest’s Men’s Roundup, three days of worship, reflection and bonding among brothers.  Included in the group were several folks connected to InFaith: Northwest Oregon congregations: Dan Wentworth and John Abraham from Mtn Home Church, John’s son Phillip Abraham, Jim VanVoorst from Hudson Park Bible Church, Brian Simmons, myself, my sons Jacob and William and my son-in-law Robert Thomas (and others I may have missed!).  As moving and educational as the worship services and breakout workshops were, a highlight for me were our hours of reflection in camp at the close of each day.  Can’t wait to be blessed at Roundup again next year!

Oh – some of us got in multiple rounds of disk golf too, including a final round that saw several disks get plunked into the lake.  Maybe we can repeat that effort next year as well!

Portland Pastors Pray for Your Church

We’ll Keep the Light on for You!
Sunday, September 18, 11 AM at Lighthouse
I am looking forward to speaking this coming Sunday, September 18 at Lighthouse Community Church in Gresham, as pastor Bill Skogan takes some well-deserved time off.  Feel free to join with us to encourage this faithful small congregation that has been part of the InFaith fellowship for many years.  (I also need to say ‘hi’ to Ken Heiner from Lighthouse.  I think I caught a glimpse of him at Roundup as well.)

Back to Breakfast at the Tollgate!
Wednesday, September 21, 9 AM in Sandy
Pastors and church leaders from the eastern portion of our field will be meeting on Wednesday, September 21st at the Tollgate Inn for their monthly breakfast/fellowship time.  Feel free to drop in and share what God is doing in your life and ministry.

Time to Check in with My Home Church
I will be meeting with the mission committee from Aims Community Church on Sunday, September 25th.  After five years, I felt it was time I gave them a more formal face-to-face update on what I have been doing since the Lord moved me out of their pulpit and into the mission field.  Of course, many of them see me throughout the year still…but I am looking forward to a more intentional discussion about what God is doing in this ministry.  Thanks Pastor Glenn Austin for setting this up.

May God keep your ministries “rocking” as we move into Fall.  And may your love for Jesus grow deeper each day.  Blessings!
