Celebrating New Life Together
But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 10:18 NASB
Caroline and I dropped off our first grandchild, Catherine, at Trout Creek Bible Camp this morning. She was beaming, and a bit nervous as she anticipated her first Christian camp experience. We were pleased to see her eagerly jotting notes in her “camp journal” a couple days ago, excited for a chance to meet new friends and learn more about Jesus. Catherine (who was born on my birthday almost nine years ago) was baptized earlier this year at Grace Baptist Church in Newberg. We are confident and grateful that the Lord will use camp directors Joe and Angela Fahlman, as well as the camp speakers and staff to help her grow in her relationship with the Lord this week.

“Little Church” Joins InFaith Fellowship
Trustees of The Little Church in the Valley in Stabler, Washington voted Sunday to approve a resolution of fellowship with InFaith: Northwest Oregon. The congregation of about 25-30, led by Pastor John Valnes, was associated with American Missionary Fellowship (InFaith’s former name) many years ago. Pastor John encouraged his congregation to renew that relationship now, as the church seeks to connect with others who are sharing the Gospel in our area. The Little Church is the first Washington church in recent years to directly affiliate with InFaith: Northwest Oregon. An IFNWOR fellowship certificate confirming will be presented to the church in August. We look forward to sharing great times of ministry together!
Carver Church once again has made use of their chilly natural baptismal in the Clackamas River. Pastor Seth Lewis is rejoicing that a couple who have been attending the church over the past year chose to publicly proclaim their faith through baptism this Sunday (July17). May the Lord bring many more to His side!
