Help us welcome our new Executive Director in his first visit to the west coast since taking the helm at Home Office in Pennsylvania. We are working to put together an event August 23rd or 24th [UPDATE SINCE ORIGINAL ARTICLE: August 19th or 20th are also being considered] so Jerry can meet with leaders of some the churches we serve in Northwest Oregon, as well as with other InFaith missionaries and associates in the area. Here’s the catch: I won’t be there! Caroline and I will be out of state on vacation that week. But Northwest US Field Director Nathan Bath will be leading Jerry’s Pacific Northwest tour, and will lead whatever event we put together. [UPDATE: I may be there after all.} Please mark your calendar and drop me a note if you would like to be part of the gathering. The details are fluid right now, but the dates need to be nailed down ASAP. So please, give me your input!
Dodge Community Church is raising funds through Cards for a Cause to help with construction of their new sanctuary.
Dodge Church Reconstruction Nears, Fundraising Underway!
A new fundraising effort is underway as Dodge Community Church awaits approval of permits to rebuild their sanctuary, which burned in 2020’s devastating Riverside Fire. Dodge congregation member Amy Alumbaugh is coordinating a promotion with “Cards for a Cause” (Usborne Books & More) which will benefit the church’s building fund.
Amy is taking orders now for a variety of greeting cards. There are 30 cards per box (50 in the Holiday box) and each box is $30. Normally the organization gets $13 per box sold, but in this case, the church will be getting $15 per box sold (the organizer is donating profit).
Amy’s goal is to sell 200 boxes by July 24th, to raise $3000 for the fund and she is hoping other InFaith fellowship churches will join in the effort. For details, order forms and flyers about the assortment of cards available, please contact Amy directly at amyjoyalunmbaugh@gmail.com
