Summer Ministry in Full Swing!

Larry and Vonnie Pratt bring their music and menagerie of puppets to VBS at Hudson Park Bible Church this week.

Vacation Bible School at Hudson Park Bible Church
Vacation Bible School kicked off Monday at Hudson Park Bible Church (Rainier).  InFaith missionaries Larry and Vonnie Pratt of Country Lovin’ Ministries brought their music and menagerie of puppets to set the “Shepherd” theme of the three-day VBS.  Some 60 kids showed up on Monday, with more expected through Wednesday.  Please pray that the three days of music, Bible stories, games, snacks and crafts will help these kids grow closer to Jesus.  The Pratts also came down from Port Orchard, WA on Sunday to lead a creative worship service just down the road at Columbia Bible Church.  What great servants of the Good Shepherd!

Pastor’s Prayer This Week at Woodland Park Chapel
Join us Thursday, June 23 at 10 AM at Woodland Park Chapel for our monthly pastors’ prayer time.  We would love to have your voice join in the intercession as we seek the Lord’s will for the many ministries in the Northwest Oregon field.

Caroline and I were pleased to help lead worship at WPC this Sunday.  Pastor Mark Helmberger shared an inspiring message from 1 Corinthians 1.  Pastor Brad and Susan Gentry were taking some time off with family, and elder Alan Baumgarden was dealing with Covid in his family.  WPC is blessed to have a deep bench when it comes to spiritual leadership!

Vonnie and Larry Pratt are leading VBS at Hudson Park Bible Church this week.

Does Your Church have VBS Plans?
Please drop me a note if your church has Vacation Bible School plans for this summer.  I would love to help out if I can, and meet the folks who are working to share the Word of Jesus with the next generation.

 PRAISES IN THE FAMILY:

  • Praise God for the 75th wedding anniversary of Helen and Louis Hoffman (coming June 25th ). Not only have they been servant-leaders in ministry in this area for many years, the longevity of their Godly marriage is an example for us all!

  • We also praise God for successful surgery for Meagan Bath, wife of InFaith Field Director Nathan Bath. Doctors believe they removed all of her cancer and that she probably will not need follow-up treatments.

As God shines His face upon us this summer, let us remain diligent this week to reflect that blessing to others!
