Celebrating Life Conquering Death

Historic Elwood School off Highway 211 in Clackamas County is one of the facilities of Mountain Home Church, led by Pastor Dan Wentworth.

A Celebration of New Life
This flower-bedecked cross in front of historic Elwood Schoolhouse reminds us of the beautiful sacrifice of Jesus Christ – who took even an instrument of death and covered it with His love, giving His life to redeem ours.  Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me, even as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.”  (John 10:14-15)

InFaith Northwest US Field Retreat and Area Fellowship April 7-10 at Camp Morrow
Please pray for Caroline and me this weekend as we will be joining InFaith missionaries from throughout the Northwest US at a retreat at Camp Morrow.  We will be blessed by four days of inspirational speakers, unified worship, testimonies of God’s grace, and building relationships with fellow workers in the Harvest.  Please pray that my Durango is repaired in time to make it over the mountain on Thursday.

 Resurrection Sunday, April 17th
As all of us celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on April 17th, I will enjoy sharing the Word with New Life in Christ Church in Portland.  This will be my first time speaking to this congregation of Mienh believers.  Thanks to InFaith Senior Missionary Irene Britton, who arranged for this opportunity.  Please pray that the Lord will touch hearts through the message, which will be simultaneously translated into the Mienh language by Pastor Sengfo.

The Little Church in the Valley, Sunday, April 24th
I will also be blessed to speak for the first time at The Little Church in the Valley in Carson, Washington, April 24th.  Pastor John Valnes and his congregation are exploring a closer relationship with InFaith ministry in the years ahead.
