Singing God’s Praises as Another Season of New Life Begins!

HYMNSING at George Community Church, April 24th at 6 PM
George Community Church is inviting all-comers to a spring Hymnsing in their sanctuary, Sunday, April 24th at 6 PM.  Coordinator Connie Smith says the music will be led by Dr. David Day, who assisted with one of our InFaith Area Hymnsings before the pandemic, and who regularly leads similar events in Portland.  George Community Church is outside Estacada at 41750 SE George Road. George Community Church is location #11 on our interactive ministry map located HERE.

Wait!  Wasn’t there another Hymnsing planned?
Yes.  We are still working on plans for an InFaith-organized Hymnsing as well, probably later in spring or even early summer.  But we would love to see a season of praise kick off well with this event at George. (My weak memory also says there was yet another of our churches already making plans for a similar event in the next couple months. If that was you, please forgive me for not remembering…but email me the information so I can help you get the word out!)

Who is Praying for Your Family?
Pastor Steven Boyle of Columbia Community Bible Church, inspired by a suggestion by former InFaith Area Missionary Alan Baumgarden, has begun planning an area-wide prayer meeting, open to all and inviting specifically the congregants of the InFaith: Northwest Oregon churches. The focus will be to pray for specific needs of the family members of those who attend. The date and time will be released soon.  If you would like to help, or have suggestions, please contact Pastor Steven, sjboyle72@sbcglobal.net.

The Middle Week is always the busiest!
We are just coming off a busy week of ministry which included, among other things, NWxNW fellowship March 15th in Clatskanie, Pastors’ Breakfast March 16th in Sandy, and Pastors Prayer March 17th in Portland.  It is always great to catch up with the work the Lord is doing among His people in Northwest Oregon.  We were blessed Sunday to worship at Dover Community Church, with another inspiring message from Pastor Bob Droullard and music led by Ron Norquist.

It is good to see the Lord bringing in new laborers for the field.  This Tuiesday Caroline and I are made a quick trip up to Castle Rock, WA to meet with a brand new InFaith candidate Wayne Wrzesinski who has been approved by InFaith to start a new multimedia ministry.  They gave him an assignment to talk to a few other InFaith missionaries about how the Lord provides for them.  So we were glad to go to share our story. Then we were back home Wednesday for a quick visit with Field Director Nathan Bath. Now we are looking ahead into April and new opportunities before us.

 Easter is Coming!
It’s hard to realize our Resurrection Celebrations are right around the corner! (April 17th).   I want to thank InFaith Senior Missionary Irene Britton for arranging for me to speak that Sunday at Portland’s New Life in Christ Church.  Irene has been working with that fellowship of Mienh believers for several years.  Not only am I excited to share the Word with a congregation that is new to me, but – since I will be speaking through a translator – I am eager to hear how the Lord brings His message of salvation through both of us, no matter what language is heard!

Now may the One who makes the seasons turn, and who blesses believers of every tongue and nation, make this season of new birth and new beginnings speak to all of our hearts in new ways!
