Friendly Faces Keeping Faith in Jesus

VanVoorst Retirement Gift – An Indoor/Outdoor Adventure!
InFaith Field Director for the northwest U.S. Nathan Bath (the tall guy in the picture) visited the Northwest Oregon Field Monday to present retired Field Director Jim VanVoorst and his wife Linda with a gift from all of us who have served under his leadership. Thanks to your contributions, Jim and Linda will be enjoying a well-deserved all-expenses-paid indoor/outdoor adventure, seeing some of the most beautiful sights of Northern and Northwestern Idaho.

During Nathan’s quick trip, we visited and prayed over one of the many mission points in this field, asking the Lord’s guidance as we seek to spread the word of Jesus in our communities.  By the way, if you would like to get to know Nathan, he can be reached at nbath@infaith.org.

Sunday School Fellowship Annual Meeting, March 13
Take advantage of this opportunity to meet leaders from most of the twenty churches connected with InFaith: Northwest Oregon and our ministry partners at Sunday School Fellowship.  Get an introduction to some of the new pastors on the field, and find out what is happening with SSF programs like the pastors’ emergency fund, the church loan fund, and other assistance to help your ministries thrive.  Click the letter on this page to read your invitation from SSF chair Pastor Mat Neahring, and to see the meeting agenda. The meeting will be held at Woodland Park Chapel (#22 on the interactive map here).

NWXNW – March 8, 10 AM Pastor Dennis Brown (pictured here with his wife Ruth) will host the NWxNW ministry leaders fellowship March 8, starting at 10 AM at Deer Island Community Church (#7 on the interactive map here).  Leaders from ministries in the far Northwest portion of our NW Oregon field are invited to gather for sharing and prayer, and sharpening of one-another for service to Jesus.

Dodge Community Church Prepares to Rebuild

Deacon Tony Skoein leads Dodge Community Church in music at Sunday services at Hillockburn Farms, the temporary home for the congregation until they rebuild.

Dozens of burned trees have been removed from the former site of Dodge Community Church to prepare for eventual reconstruction in the Lord’s timing.

The site of Dodge Community Church (#8 on the interactive map here) is being prepared for the eventual “resurrection” of the church building, which was lost in last fall’s devastating wildfire in that community.  Loggers are removing dangerous burned trees, Boy Scouts are planning to erect a small storage building on site, church leaders are beginning discussions with an architect and praying that the Lord will give them all a clear vision of what and when He would have them build.  In the meantime, the small congregation (about 30 on a strong Sunday) continues to meet at Hillockburn Farms’ retail facility (right down the road) for worship each week.  SSF has begun assisting with collecting funds for the eventual project.  To contribute, contact SSF treasurer Frank Campbell (campbellfrank8@gmail.com), or meet him at the March 13 annual meeting (see letter and story on this page).
