Please Pray Today for Pastor Dan Wentworth of Mountain Home Church
Pastor Dan is at Providence St Vincent Medical Center, where today he is to undergo a biopsy on his lower spine. Dan has been hospitalized since late last week, when his back pain became debilitating. He says he currently cannot walk or even sit for a period of time. Doctors suspect a spinal infection. They are hoping for a clearer diagnosis today. Dan expects to be in the hospital at least through this week, and he appreciates your prayers for him and for his wife Nancy as they seek healing, wisdom and comfort from the Lord.
Pastors’ Prayer Time is Thursday, January 14 10 AM at Woodland Park
Let’s meet face-to-face with each other and heart-to-heart with the Lord, as we share the needs of the churches and ministry leaders on the field, and lift our voices in praise, thanksgiving, and petition to our Creator. Please join us, no reservation needed. Woodland Park Chapel is at 1914 NE 102nd Avenue in Portland.
NWxNW Leader’s Fellowship Rescheduled for February 9
Mayger-Downing Community Church is once again scheduled to host the NWxNW meeting, Monday, February 8 at 10 AM. The meeting, which had been schedule for today, was cancelled earlier this month when the church slowed briefly to address the spread of a virus in the community. Marilyn Thomas (wife of pastor John Thomas) says she is recovering from the virus but still feels some fatigue. A few others in the extended Clatskanie-Rainier communities are experiencing similar symptoms. Mayger-Downing resumes regular services this coming Sunday with a message from visiting missionary/pastor Bob Peterson.
Garfield Pastor Applications Closing FRIDAY!
January 15 is the deadline for applications for the pastoral position at Garfield Community Church. Please continue to pray that this round of recruitment will reveal the Shepherd whom God is calling to lead this loving fellowship in Estacada. Board Chairman David Allinger says a couple applications have come in, and they are hoping for a few more to consider before the January 15 deadline. For details about the application process, and about the church, please contact David Allinger (theallingers2@msn.com ) .
May Our Loving Lord bring you laughter and joy in your service to Him this week!
