New Beginnings in Northwest Oregon Ministries
A New Fellowship Joins the InFaith: Northwest Oregon Family
Picture 1 : Hudson Park Bible Church steering committee members Cory Cox and Forest Teele were presented with an InFaith Certificate of Fellowship, July 12 by area missionary Tom Hiscox and Northwest Field Director Jim VanVoorst. It was a joy to worship together with this new congregation of about 50 people, who started meeting together in an old schoolhouse about a year ago. We look forward to working together with them as they serve Jesus in the rural area west and southwest of Rainier, Oregon. For contact information, see their listing on our ministry map at www.nworinfaith.org .
“NWxNW” Church Leaders Gather for a Time of “Iron Sharpening Iron” (Prov. 27:17)
Church leaders from several fellowships in the far northwest edge of our Northwest Oregon field met Monday, July 13 in Clatskanie to share their experiences in ministry and pray for the needs of their communities. Picture 2: Western Seminary Student Travis Nelson shares his testimony with the group. With him in this photo are pastor Scott Thompson of Holbrook Bible Church, Harmony and Cory Cox, and Forest Teele of Hudson Park Bible Church. It should not be used to add names to mailing lists, batch emails or batch texts, without permission of the individuals whose data you are using. The printed list has some phone numbers which are not necessarily available for public distribution, so please respect the privancy of your colleagues who have shared their contact info with you. We all continue to ask the Lord for patience, wisdom and protection as our churches, communities, country and world deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Let me suggest, the church should be the one place where our neighbors can find hope for the future and confidence that God will see us through. If we allow our fellowships to be seized by either the panic of the pandemic, or the protests against inconvenient protection measures, we may be tempted to take our eyes off of the Savior and try to solve things ourselves. God knows the end from the beginning, and has made provision for every one of us who call Jesus our Lord. The world needs that assurance from us. May He bless you with peace this week!
