A New Beginning at Columbia Community Bible Church (Portland)

It was a joy to celebrate Sunday with the congregation of Columbia Community Bible Church on Marine Drive in Portland. Pastor Steven Boyle led his flock in a “Grand Reopening” service and community brunch celebrating the faithfulness of the God we serve. The church building re-opened a couple weeks ago, after three months of restoration from flood damage. This Sunday pastor Abner Naanyane and his wife Mo formally joined the church membership. Abner has been serving alongside and assisting Pastor Boyle for several months already as the Lord began preparing the church for a time of renewal, even before the pipes burst and the building was damaged.

Please Pray for Gresham Students

Please pray today for the family of a Dexter McCarty Middle School student who was hit by a car and killed this morning in Gresham. The eleven year old boy was a former pupil of my wife, Caroline. The news of his passing will undoubtedly hit hard as word begins to spread to the middle school and elementary school where he attended. Please keep the boy’s family in prayer, as well as the driver of the car involved in this tragedy.
